After debuting at the LA Auto Show, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit and the Jeep Liberty Jet have arrived at Rairdon Auto Group. These two brand-new models offer Jeep’s legendary capability in unique and premium editions.

These new Jeep models have been designed and produced in response to driver demand for classic Jeep capability, delivered in a more stunning and luxurious package.

2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit in Seattle

The brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit is one of Jeep’s most luxurious, distinctive and comprehensively equipped vehicles ever.

A new Rugged Brown paint scheme highlights the exterior, which also features a fully chromed grille and fog lamp bezels out in front. The exterior also includes 20-inch bright, polished aluminum wheels, delivering new levels of indulgence and refinement in a premium sport-utility package. Mineral Gray, White Gold and Black are also exterior color options.

Unique Black Olive burl real wood trim lines the interior of the Grand Cherokee Overland Summit, and is blended right into the instrument panel. High craftsmanship surrounds the driver and passengers as the trim wraps into the upper panels of both the front and rear doors. The trim is also used on the leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel.

Interior trim color options include Black lower and New Saddle, along with saddle-color Nappa heated and ventilated leather seats. Berber floor mats with Black and Chestnut accent binding are also included.

An Advanced Warning System and Adaptive Cruise Control group, which consists of Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-path detection systems.

The Grand Cherokee Overland Summit edition will be available at Rairdon Auto Group for $42,495 for the 4×2 model, and $45,995 for the 4×4 model.

2011 Jeep Liberty Jet for Sale in Seattle

Delivering best-in-class capability and an upscale appearance, the Jet appearance package is available on the Liberty Sport and Limited models.

Exterior features include 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, fitted with all-season tires, as well as a chrome lower fascia opening, body side moldings, license plate brow, roof rails and mirror caps.

Four exterior color options are available for the 2011 Liberty Jet: Bright Silver, Dark Charcoal, Brilliant Black and BlackBerry.

My parents bought a Jeep Wagoneer as the ‘third car’ for the kids to drive when I was a teenager.  My sister was away at college in Europe and my brother already had a car, so really, this baby was MY car.  Because this is what I learned to drive in, I have an incredible affection for Jeeps.  I was completely psyched to start working at Seattle’s Jeep Dealer, The Rairdon Group where there are Jeep’s galore.

I took one of our used Jeep Liberty Unlimited 4WD for a spin around Lynnwood the other day and completely fell in love.  It’s like the sleek, beautiful daughter of the masculine, rugged Wagoner, with soft curved lines and a tall body.  But don’t let that fool you.  It’s the only SUV that will take you on the serious off-road adventure.  This ride will take those trails like Beckham on the soccer field but will take to the highway like Ginger Rogers on the dance floor.  It’s surprisingly smooth.

The interior in this particular model was stocked with everything anyone could want in a car.  It seats 5 comfortably, with plenty of room left over to bring any gear.  Strangely, my favorite thing that stood out was the ‘OH SNAP!’ handles (this is a family friendly website) that adorned all of the doors, including the driver’s door!  I know this is for off-roading, but it’s also quite convenient for drivers like me whose passengers always seem to hold on to those.

What I found to be accommodating and useful is when you open the hatch, the glass swings up and the hatch swings open from the right.  It just makes more sense this way when you’re hanging onto cargo…be it kids or groceries.

I felt completely safe in this car, knowing that there is side curtain and front air bags and a Chrysler’s Enhanced Accident Response System, which unlocks my doors and turns on my lights in case an airbag were to ever deploy.  The doors also lock themselves when you accelerate.
The 210-hp 3.7-liter shock 12-valve V6 gave this car a surprisingly amount of zip and it moved beautifully.  It was positively divine and smooth.  I had to really keep an eye on the panel to keep at the speed limit…hence the ‘OH SNAP’ handles!  Chalk this up to another car crush, I adore it.
